I’ve been exploring several Asian countries since my arrival in Japan and this time it was Vietnam’s and Cambodia’s turn.Vietnam comprised only a short stay in Hanoi but I enjoyed the scenery at Halong Bay and of course the delicious Vietnamese food!Cambodia was completely different: I visited the beautiful, massive temple complexes of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Beng Melea and Banteay Srey. Further I also went to the relatively “smaller” and less crowded monuments of Roluos, which were built in the late 9th century! Obviously it is more interesting to visit all the monuments with a local guide. He/she will tell you many detailed stories about the monuments but also about the often “dark” history of Cambodia… Which country is next? 😉
